Blast Resistant Standards

The graph and table show the performance criteria for blast resistant products. Specify Pressure and impulse when ordering a blast resistant product.

Note: Ballistic and forced entry protection can also be specified and achieved in a blast resistant product.

Impulse = 1/2 x Pressure(psi) x Duration(msec)

Note: Products meet and/or exceed UL 752 Ballistic Standards, GSA Blast, and DOD Forced Protection/Anti-Terrorism Criteria. Test reports are avaliable upon request

Bullet Resistant Wall Armors/Panels

Available material :

  • Fiber Glass: This panel is a multi-ply laminated ballistic fiberglass material, which is lightweight, easy to fabricate, nonspall and non-ricochet. This material conforms to UL 752 and NIJ standards. It is recommended for use in Safe Rooms, wall armor, judge’s benches, and counter protection.
    • Standard fiberglass size: 48” x 96” sheet
  • Steel Panels: This panel is a single sheet ballistic steel. This wall armor is an economical choice for wall construction and ideal for structural armor. This material conforms to UL and NIJ standards. It is recommended for use in wall armor, Safe Rooms judge’s benches, counter protection and as finished opaque panels used in security storefronts.
    • Standard size: 48” x 96” sheets. Custom sizes available.

Forced Entrys doors/windows

Forced entry is the attempted penetration of a door, window and walls using a wide variety of tools. These tools may include, but are not limited to sledge hammers, pry bars, wood splitting mauls, fire axes, battering rams, gasoline, acetone, propane torches and CO2 fire extinguishers. The number of people, the tools used, and the duration of the attack vary among the standards used to measure forced entry resistance.

  • Forced Entry Doors :
    • Available for 5 min, 15 min., and 60 min.
  • Forced Entry Windows :
    • Available for 5 min and 15 min.

Special Application Doors

Techtrade can also provide special application doors where a combination of requirements is needed. These special application doors can have any combination of the following:

  • Bullet / Ballistic Resistant
  • Forced Entry
  • Blast resistant
  • Fire Rated
  • High STC ratings.

Such doors can be designed as a vertical lifting door, a 4-fold door, or any special design you require.
